Privacy
This site collects as little as it can. Here is exactly what, and why.
Who I am
I am Max Royston, in London, and I decide what happens to anything you send through this site. To ask about your data, use the contact form.
What I collect
If you send a message: your name, your email address and what you write.
If you subscribe: your email address.
Nothing else. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track you.
Why
Messages are used to read and reply to what you sent. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me.
Subscriber addresses are used to send occasional emails. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing and can withdraw at any time.
Where it goes
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a United States company, which stores form submissions on my behalf under a data processing agreement that forms part of its terms of service, and forwards them to my inbox. Nobody else receives what you send. I do not sell it or share it.
How long I keep it
Messages: as long as I need to reply and follow up.
Subscriber addresses: until you ask to come off the list.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You can stop the emails at any time by replying to any of them.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
